Centerville police said Christina Redwine, 29, of Centerville and Sidney Clayman, 27, of New Paris, were arrested following the chase. Both face grand theft and theft charges. Redwine also faces a robbery charge.

The pursuit continued onto I-75 through first through Warren County, then into Montgomery County where speeds reached over 100 mph, police scanner traffic indicates.

Police said the robbery started when a woman was sitting in her car in the parking lot of a strip mall near the intersection of Spring Valley Pike and South Main Street in Centerville. Redwine and Clayman approached the woman’s vehicle and at least one of them tried to grab some items out of it, when the woman got out and the suspects then jumped into the van, locked it and took off, Centerville Officer John Davis said.

The suspects hit a parked car while driving off, Davis said.

The pursuit ended on West Third Street and North Broadway Street in Dayton, where Redwine and Clayman left the van and ran from the scene, police said.

Both are in jail on $25,000 bonds.
