A portion of Johnsville Brookville Road near Amity Road in Perry Twp. was shut down around 10 a.m. following reports of high water. According to our crew, several cars passed through the flooded roadway before police arrived and shut down the road.

An estimated time for the road to reopen was not known.

During the morning storms a flood advisory was issued for parts of Montgomery, Preble, and Wayne (Ind.) counties. That advisory was cancelled around 10:30 a.m.

The storms were also responsible for bringing down some trees, including one that fell on top of a house on Old Orchard Avenue in Dayton.

Photos also sent into News Center 7 showed downed trees in Springfield, including one that fell on power lines. No significant outages or road closures were reported.

More storms are expected through Wednesday afternoon and they are expected to be more widespread later in the day.

We’ll continue to update this story as new details become available.
