Troy man attempts to steal 60-year-old woman’s purse; bond set at $50K

A 52-year-old Troy man will need $50,000 to get out of the Miami County jail on a robbery charge.

George Bell is accused of attempting to steal a purse from a 60-year-old Troy woman Thursday evening in the 900 block of West Main Street.

Bell was arrested a short time later by Troy Police and given a preliminary charge of robbery.

The victim reportedly suffered minor injuries.
