4 suspected of credit card fraud at Walmart in Huber

A fraud report today from the Walmart on Brandt Pike has led to the arrests of three males and a female involved in what police suspect is an out-of-state counterfeit credit card scheme.

The four suspected in the credit card case have been taken to the Montgomery County Jail. Their names have not been released, pending the filing of charges through the county prosecutor's office.

Huber Heights Lt. Matt Dulaney said police were called to the store, at 7680 Brandt Pike, at about 11:22 a.m. on a report of fraud.

Officers were told that several people were using fake credit cards to buy items from area Walmart stores, Dulaney said.

Officers stopped a vehicle carrying the five people accused in the lot of the True North Shell station, across from the Walmart store.

A preliminary investigation reveals that a large amount of merchandise bought with the fake credit cards was recovered at that stop, according to Huber Heights police.
