Dayton police found 6 grams of heroin left in the mailbox of a vacant home on Cambridge Avenue on Thursday.
Officers received a call around 7 p.m. that drugs are kept in the mailboxes of vacant homes there. The call also said a man wearing a black sweat suit pointed a gun at a car in that area, and the vehicle fled, according to a police report.
Officers did not find anyone at the scene when they arrived, but found the drugs in the mailbox.
