Kettering man pleads guilty to Xenia child rape; recently sentenced on federal, county sex charges

XENIA — A 45-year-old Kettering man already sentenced to more than 20 years in prison for a federal child pornography charge pleaded guilty in a Xenia child rape case.

Matthew Myron Jones will be sentenced Feb. 13 in Greene County Common Pleas Court after he pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of rape, which prosecutors said involved a child younger than 13 and happened between May and November 2003.

Jones also was convicted of two counts of sexual battery and one count of gross sexual imposition in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court and on Monday was sentenced to up to 20 years to life in prison.

Jones was sentenced Nov. 27, 2019, to 22½ years in prison for raping two toddlers and recording the abuse, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio.

According to court documents, in that case Jones raped two 3-year-old girls between 2003 and 2009 and created more than 100 images of each instance of abuse.

Jones also photographed two other girls and at least six women while they were sleeping, the release stated.

On Jones’ computer, investigators found that he exchanged more than 100,000 images and videos of child porn, according to the release.
