PENDLETON, Indiana — The technology director for the Indiana Department of Correction was jailed Wednesday following his arrest in a child sex case.
The arrest of Thomas W. Francum, 51, on two felony counts of child molestation followed a four-month Indiana State Police investigation, according to an ISP release issued Wednesday evening.
Francum was placed on unpaid suspension Aug. 30, the same day ISP detectives with a warrant searched his leased home on the grounds of the Pendleton Correctional Facility.
His accuser was younger than 10 when the alleged sex crimes first happened, which reportedly occurred from August 2010 to August 2016 at the leased home, the ISP stated.
