Coronavirus: Area first responders salute health care workers with light, siren display

MIAMI VALLEY — UPDATED (April 23): The salute to health care workers by area first responders continued Thursday night at several hospitals and medical centers, including at Grandview on West Grand Avenue in Dayton.

INITIAL REPORT (April 21)

Area first responders put on an impressive light and siren display to honor health care workers for their work on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic.

And the first responders will repeat their parade on Thursday at 6:45 p.m. or 6:50 p.m. depending on the hospital.

Tuesday evening, first responders were located at Kettering Medical Center, Miami Valley Hospital, Miami Valley Hospital North, Atrium Medical Center, MVH Austin Blvd. Emergency Center, Soin Medical Center, Sycamore Medical Center, Troy Hospital and Kettering Health Network Middletown.

Thursday, crews will be at Grandview Medical Center, Upper Valley Medical Center, Miami Valley Hospital South, Jamestown Emergency Department, Southview Medical Center, Greene Memorial Hospital, Preble Emergency Center, Huber Heights Emergency Center, Franklin Emergency Center and Kettering Behavioral Medicine Center.
