Coronavirus: Centerville Florist decorates windows for people to take photos

CENTERVILLE — Due to the coronavirus, many will have to spend Easter away from their loved ones, and one local business is trying to raise everyone’s spirits.

Centerville Florist is known for their vibrant window displays, but this year was different.

“Typically we’re busy, people want fresh cut centerpieces and lilies for their Easter dinner,” said owner Keith Widerhold. “Obviously with COVID-19 that has severely limited our product offering.”

Despite having to close the store, Widerhold wanted to give customers a sort of normalcy.

“People can use it as a backdrop and can walk by and take photos, share with their grandparents that they aren’t able to get together with and send Easter postcards," explained Widerhold.

The display includes giant Easter bunnies, glitter eggs, and extravagant flower arrangements.

Widerhold is ensuring people keep abiding by social distancing guidelines.

“We’re operating on limited hours but when we are here, we are keeping an eye on making sure people are following guidelines from the governor," explained Widerhold.

Centerville Florists say its small things like this, that make a big difference.
