BUFFALO — As the highly anticipated Bengals - Bills playoff game quickly approaches, the word comradery is strong between both fan bases.
Bengals and Bills fans have a special relationship. In 2017, the Bengals beat the Ravens in regular season play and sent the Bills to the playoffs for the first time in 17 seasons. Bills fans thanked the Bengals by donating to former quarterback Andy Dalton’s charity, raising more than $415,000.

A few fans spoke to NewsCenter 7′s Brandon Lewis about how fans came together during and after the injury, Damar Hamlin suffered when the Bengals and Bills met earlier this month.
“There are events that happen, I think sometimes to connect everyone and this is one of those things. I just hope we keep that same energy going forward that we have this energy towards others not have a dramatic event to make that happen”, Bengals fan Mark Houseman said regarding the Bengals and Bills coming together after Hamlin’s injury.
“They value the life of the people that are in the other uniform just as they do their sideline. That really meant a lot to me”, said Bills fan, Zach Kinney
After Hamlin sustained the injury, not only did Bengals fans contribute to his toy drive charity, but fans across the country raised close to $9 million.
