DAYTON, OH — Cooler and drier air is flowing into the Miami Valley from the northwest, and that will set us up for a cool stretch of weather to begin the week. Some may even consider the next two nights, “chilly.”

Tonight, low temperatures will fall into the low and mid 50s across the Miami Valley. In Dayton, we’re calling for 54 degrees. This will be noticeably cooler than the average low of 63, but not quite record territory. The record low temperature for an August 24th is 44 degrees. This occurred back in 1902.

Cooler than normal high temperatures in the mid 70s are likely for both Monday and Tuesday. By Wednesday, we’re climbing back above 80 degrees. Come Thursday, temperatures in some spots will reach the middle 80s. Rain chances are pretty low overall, but we may see a few storms pass through on Thursday.
