Preble County manufacturer Henny Penny Corp. will become an employee-owned company, according to company employees who attended a meeting today with President and Chief Executive Rob Connelly.
Henny Penny called the meeting with employees at 2 p.m. today at Eaton High School.
In September, Henny Penny announced a $7.5 million expansion to its world headquarters in Eaton. The expansion will add 44,000 square feet of new office and manufacturing space to its 450,000-square-foot facility.
In October, the company announced several leadership changes and an organizational restructuring “to better align for the company’s future” as a leading food-service equipment manufacturer.
Henny Penny employs about 600 workers at its headquarters in Eaton, and also has facilities in Paris, France and Sohzou, China.
Founded in 1957 in Eaton, Henny Penny designs and produces commercial grade food equipment for clients that include KFC, McDonald’s, Chick-fil-A and Chicken Licken restaurants.
