WILMINGTON — The Ohio State Highway Patrol Wilmington post is investigating a Clinton County fatal crash that occurred late Monday.

Around 11:47 p.m. on Sabina Road, north of Spencer Road in Wilson Twp., a Chevrolet Trailblazer traveling northeast drove off the side of the road, according to troopers.

The Trailblazer was driven by Teresa Krodel, a 39-year-old Wilmington resident, according to a OSHP news release.

LOCAL NEWS: Driver parks vehicle, reportedly overdoses on Lakeview Ave.

Troopers reported Krodel overcorrected, drove off the road and struck a ditch before the vehicle overturned.

Krodel was ejected from the Trailblazer, and was transported by ground to Jamestown Medical Center where she was pronounced dead, according to the news release.

Troopers reported Krodel was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
