The investigation into Cheryl Coker’s disappearance began one year ago today.
A year later and the Riverside police department is still actively working on the investigation.
“There are no words we can say to Cheryl’s family that can comfort them through their struggle to understand what has happened,” said the Riverside police department in a release.
“However, we continue to ensure her family that the Riverside police department is still investigating any and all leads as they are reported.”
News Center 7’s reporter Mike Campbell will be releasing a special report tonight regarding Cheryl Coker’s investigation.
A candlelight vigil will be held tonight at 7 p.m. in honor of Coker at St. Helen’s Catholic Church on Burkhardt Road in Riverside.
“We understand the public’s desire for more information regarding his case,” said police. “The investigative information will not be released to protect the integrity of the investigation.”
