A West Carrollton board is asking council members to approve an annual fee on rental property owners.
The city’s board of zoning appeals voted 4-0 Thursday night to recommend the proposal.
The program would impose a $30 annual fee on owners of rental properties in West Carrollton.
The proposal aims to curb property code violations, the majority of which occur at rental units, according to the city.
The Greater Dayton Apartment Association said, if adopted, the program would be detrimental to West Carrollton.
