BarryStaff holds job fair this week at Dayton location

DAYTON — BarryStaff is looking to fill 100 positions in different industries throughout the Miami Valley.

Starting Monday, from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., BarryStaff will be holding open interviews at their location on Webster Street in Dayton.

“Manufacturers are starting to ramp up production again and they cut so much when COVID-19 first hit, they have a lot of jobs open while they try to get services up and running again,” said President of BarryStaff, Doug Barry.

The positions are in the automotive, home appliance and packaging and shipping fields, including clerical positions and, are mainly entry level with opportunities to grow.

“We need someone who is going to show up,” Barry said. “Most of the jobs are 40 hours a week, a lot of them offering overtime and so this is a good way to get your foot in the door,” he added.

Barry said they’re working toward getting more people back into the workforce.

“Getting up every day, going to work, having someplace to go instead of just being at home.”

The current hiring companies are taking safety measures to make sure those who are starting work are protected from COVID-19.

“They are providing PPE, making sure they’re socially distant, having the proper barriers up and taking temperatures,” Barry said.

The job fair runs through Thursday.
