A baby was born today inside a dormitory at the University of Dayton.
The birth was confirmed by UD officials, who said the university has no additional information.
The Dayton Fire Department was called around 1:45 p.m. to assist UD crews at the Marycrest residence hall, which is listed as a freshman dorm on the university’s website. Numerous social media users identified the woman who gave birth as a UD student, but the university would not confirm those reports.
