DAYTON — A 13-year-old girl killed in a shooting on Kipling Drive in Dayton Monday has been identified.

Inyah Ford was killed during the shooting in the 2300 block of Kipling Drive around 2 a.m., according to police and the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

Police said during a “large holiday weekend gathering” an argument broke out and two people pulled out weapons and exchanged gunfire.

Ford was hit at least once and taken to the hospital, where she died from her injuries.

Police said she was an innocent bystander and did not have any involvement in the argument.

The girl did live at the address where the gathering was being held, police said.

Police also said they have a person of interest and are looking to interview 20-year-old Shamarr Bodine.
