Man killed in Springfield shooting, video captures shooting

SPRINGFIELD — A man was killed in a shooting police said was captured on video Sunday night.

Tyler Fullen, 29, was shot multiple times during a fight in the middle of Center Street around 7:30 p.m.

“There’s a video also of the incident that took place," said Springfield Police Lt. Lou Turner. "The video shows the flash of several gunshots.”

Turner said the fight started and then about five to ten seconds into the fight, the shooter pulled a gun from his waistband and fired shots.

The shooting happened outside a restaurant, which has helped with witnesses in the investigation, Turner said.

Officers do have a possible suspect in the case, but the case still needs to be presented to the prosecutor’s office for potential charges.
