Suspect accused of violating 3 juveniles in Franklin sexual assault case, indictment says

FRANKLIN — UPDATE @ 8:47 p.m.: The sexual assaults Luis Ramon Sosa is accused of committing on three juvenile girls are believed to have started in 2011, Franklin police Lt. Brian Pacifico said.

The last occurred earlier this year, according to the police investigation of Sosa, the lieutenant said.

All three girls who are now adults know each other, Pacifico said, and the investigation determined that all of the incidents occurred in Franklin, Warren County.

A 39-year-old Franklin man accused of several felony counts in a sexual assault case will remain in jail after a Warren County grand jury returned a multiple-count indictment.

Luis Ramon Sosa is being detained on four counts of rape (connected to at least four incidents), and single counts of gross sexual imposition (including two incidents) and sexual battery, according to Warren County Jail online records.

Franklin police arrested Sosa on April 22 at an address on Highridge Court.

Wednesday, the Franklin Police Department announced the indictment and said the investigation began April 17 when a mother came to police and filed a complaint on Sosa involving her juvenile daughter.

During the investigation, two other individuals came forward and accused Sosa of sexually assaulting them as well, according to the statement issued by Lt. Brian Pacifico. The other two victims were juveniles when their assaults allegedly took place; They are adults now, according to the police department.

Detective Figliola and the Child Advocacy Center investigated the incidents and presented the case to a county grand jury.

Wednesday evening, Sosa was in jail on a $675,000 cash-only bail.
