Five Rivers Health Center hosted a groundbreaking Wednesday for the facility on Miami Chapel Road.

Representatives of the non-profit said the new spot will consolidate programs and services from six sites into one multipurpose building.

Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley said she is excited about the development.

“We have had significant issues around having health access, particularly around west Dayton, and so we’re grateful for Five Rivers stepping up to make sure this site will be for the community,” Whaley said.

Amenities at the 80,000-square-foot health care center will include exam rooms, a drive-through pharmacy, community space, an on-site laboratory, and X-ray.
