RECOVERY TWP., Mercer County — A 58-year-old Coldwater man was killed Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident in Recovery Twp., Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey said.

Dennis Broeker, driving a Chevy Equinox, pulled away from a stop sign at Siegrist Jutte and Wabash roads, and into the path of a Saturn Aura driven by 23-year-old Keeshia Brown.
The collision, reported about 4:16 p.m., caused Broeker’s vehicle to flip onto its top and come to rest in a ditch on the southeast side of the road. Brown’s sedan ended up in a bean field.
Both were taken by squad to Mercer Health Hospital in Coldwater, where Broeker was later pronounced dead. There was no information on Brown’s condition.
The investigation continues into this crash, the fourth fatal crash in the county for 2020, Sheriff Grey said.
