WEEKEND WINTER STORM: Wind Chill Advisory issued until noon Monday

A Wind Chill Advisory has been issued for the entire Miami Valley beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday until noon Monday.

  • Wind chills: Minus 10 to minus 15 degrees tonight
  • Frigid temperatures into Monday

Tonight: Temperatures will fall from 10 degrees towards 0 degrees throughout the evening hours. Relatively clear conditions are expected to continue overnight allowing temperatures to drop as low as minus 6 degrees. Wind chills will range from minus 10 to minus 15 degrees.

Monday: Driving conditions on side streets will remain poor in the morning. With sunshine expected, extensive melting throughout the day should improve the majority of snow and ice covered streets. Temperatures will climb to 14 degrees. Wind chills will likely stay at or below 0 degrees throughout a majority of the day.

Tuesday: Bitter cold air early will be replaced with warmer air from the south. Temperatures could start near 10 degrees by sunrise on Tuesday but quickly climb towards 40 degrees throughout the day. More sunshine is expected early but clouds will push in throughout the day. The chance for rain showers, possibly mixing with snow, will arrive in the overnight hours.

Wednesday: The chance for rain will begin before sunrise and last through the day. Colder air infiltrating from the northwest could allow a transition to a rain and snow mixture. Highs will climb near 40 degrees early before temperatures fall off once again.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with a chance for snow showers with highs near 30 degrees.

Friday: Mostly cloudy and cold with a slight chance for snow showers. Highs only climbing into the upper teens.
