Fall Color Reaches Peak this Week

Fall color has reached peak conditions this week in the Miami Valley! If you haven’t had a chance to stop and enjoy the fall colors, now is the time to do it.

According to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, all the state parks and nature preserves in the Miami Valley have reached their peak fall color. The list of great areas of fall color includes Caesar Creek, Grand Lake St. Marys, and Indian Lake just to name a few.

The rain we had this week will have brought some leaves down but there is still plenty of color to enjoy. Now that we are getting towards the end of October, colors will begin to fade likely next week, and weather events that produce strong wind and rain can cause the fall leaves to drop easily.

Fall Weekend Forecast

Friday: Dry and mild start to the day. Storms for the afternoon and windy. Some more leaves will drop.

Saturday: Cool with scattered clouds. Dry for the day. Highs in the middle 50s.

Sunday: Another cool afternoon with highs in the upper 50s. Cloudy but we should stay dry until evening rain showers arrive.
