DETAILED FORECAST

A dense fog advisory has been issued for the Dayton area and parts south and east until 4 a.m., said StormCenter 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell. Cloudy skies will remain across the Miami Valley this evening with drizzle possible. Temperatures will hold just above freezing in the middle 30s, Elwell said.

Overnight: Areas of dense fog will linger across the Miami Valley with visibility down below a half mile. A winter storm will develop and move into the eastern half of Ohio and may brush the Miami Valley with a light wintry mix changing over to light snow. The greatest threat for precipitation will be south of the Dayton-area, Elwell said. Snow accumulations of up to 1 to 2 inches will be possible near I-71. Temperatures will drop back into the upper 20s. Icy spots are possible.

Tuesday: Snow showers across the eastern counties of the Miami Valley will quickly move away. Skies will remain mostly cloudy. Temperatures will be seasonable with highs in the middle to upper 30s.

Wednesday: Becoming breezy through the day, making it feel colder. Highs in the mid-30s. Mostly cloudy, with the chance for some flurries or a few light snow showers.

Thursday: Partly sunny, and not as cold and dry. Morning temperatures will start in the upper teens and reach upper 30s by the afternoon.

Friday: Becoming windy through the day. A big push of warm air ahead of the next front will bring highs into the 50s, with rain showers returning.

Saturday: Skies will become mostly sunny with an unseasonably warm and nice start to the weekend, Elwell said. Highs will reach into the middle 50s.
