James Hartman, 47, of Springboro, was identified as the person killed after a semi-truck hit him around 9 a.m. Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger said in a media release Monday afternoon.

Hartman’s cause and manner of death have not been determined and remain under investigation, Harshbarger said.

The northbound lanes of the highway were initially shut down, however state troopers reopened the left lane just before 10 a.m. The investigation blocked the right and center lanes until about 12:30 p.m. when all lanes were officially reopened.

The driver of the semi, Goram Crvenkovic, 28, of Quebec, Canada, was taken to Kettering Health Miamisburg for treatment of injuries not believed to be life threatening, troopers said.

Troopers do not suspect alcohol or drug use as being a factor in the crash.
