Browns lose to Bills in Detroit after game moved from snowy Buffalo

DETROIT — The Cleveland Browns played the Buffalo Bills at Ford Field in Detroit after the NFL moved the game from western New York due to several feet of snow blanketing the area. The Browns lost, 31-23, Sunday afternoon.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen threw a five-yard touchdown pass to Stefon Diggs with 14 seconds left in the first half and Buffalo never trailed after that.

Taylor Bass kicked six field goals, including a 56-yarder in the third quarter. Buffalo rushed for 171 yards as a team, including 86 yards each by both Devin Singletary and James Cook. Allen passed for 197 yards and no interceptions.

Browns quarterback Jacoby Brissett passed for 324 yards and three touchdowns, two in the fourth quarter. Wide receiver Amari Cooper caught eight passes for 113 yards and two scores. Buffalo held the Browns’ leading rusher Nick Chubb to 19 yards on 14 carries. Kareem led Cleveland with 32 yards rushing.

Cleveland had a chance for a miracle comeback but the attempted onside kick went out of bounds and Buffalo ran out the clock.

The Bills improve to 7-3 and will be back Thursday in Detroit to play the Lions at Ford Field on Thanksgiving at 12:30 p.m. You can watch the game on Channel 7.

The Browns fall to 3-7 and host Tampa Bay on November 27 at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland.
