Stores will not allow more than 5 customers for each 1,000 square feet at a given time.
This equates to roughly 20 percent of the stores capacity.
Store associates will stand at a queue at a single-entry door and direct customers who will be admitted one at a time and counted.
The grocery entrance will be utilized for this purpose at most locations.
Once a store reaches its capacity, customers will be admitted inside on a one person out, one person in basis.
Walmart will also be instituting one-way movement through aisles beginning next week in a number of stores.
Once customers check out, they’ll exit through a different door than they entered to lesson customer contact.
