Williams, 23, collided with a second vehicle on Dec. 22 as he drove a black 2021 Chevrolet Corvette southbound in Plano, The Dallas Morning News reported. Williams’ vehicle hit a black Infiniti driven by a 71-year-old woman that was heading northbound and attempting to turn, WFAA-TV reported.

Both suffered minor injuries and were taken to area hospitals, the Morning News reported.

Officers said Williams’ speed when he crashed played a role in the accident, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.

Plano police do not plan to fine and arrest Williams, the newspaper reported on Thursday. He has been asked to turn himself in at his own convenience.

However, if Williams is stopped by police, he could be arrested, the Star-Telegram reported.

Williams, a second-round pick by Dallas in the 2022 NFL draft out of the University of Mississippi, has played in 13 games this season and has 22 tackles, four sacks and three forced fumbles in 15 regular-season games, according to Pro-Football-Reference.

The Cowboys (12-5) will travel to Florida for Monday’s night NFC wild-card playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-9).

The warrant will have no impact on Williams’ status for the postseason game, the Star-Telegram reported.
