Arts and crafts time: Police said driver pulled over with handmade license plate

MILLERBURG, Ky. — Da Vinci this driver was not.

Police in Millersburg, Kentucky, said they pulled over a driver whose car was sporting a handmade license plate, WTVQ reported.

The budding auto artist was stopped after police said they noticed a plate that didn’t look right —one that had been made out of paper and markers, WDRB reported. It had the state’s Kentucky horse design at the top and Bourbon County at the bottom, along with license plate styled numbers and letters along with a sketch of the state between the character groupings.

One thing that was missing, and that officers reminded the alleged drawing driver of, was the state registration sticker.

Police said the driver also was driving with a suspended license and had no insurance, WTVQ reported.
