UPDATE: Amber Alert canceled for 12-year-old Northeast Ohio girl, suspect in custody

CUYAHOGA COUNTY — UPDATE @ 1:15 a.m.:

The Amber Alert for 12-year-old Tessa Kozelka has been canceled by North Royalton Police Department, according to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.

According to a release, a detective with the North Royalton Police Department said the suspect and victim are both in the custody of the Cleveland Police Department.

The suspect accused of abducting her was identified in the Amber Alert as Kozelka’s stepbrother Micey Stiver, 23.

They were apprehended at 10:34 p.m. on Tuesday.

Authorities have issued a Amber Alert for a 12-year-old girl by the North Royalton Police Department, according to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.

The alert is for Central & East Lakeshore regions, which includes Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga, Huron, Lake, Lorain and Medina counties.

Tessa Kozelka, 12, left with her “boyfriend” on Monday, April 4, at 2:00 a.m. The incident happened on State Route 82 and Deer Creek Drive in Cuyahoga County.

Kozelka is described as a white female, 5′2″, 100 pounds with black hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with black writing on it.

The suspect accused of abducting her was identified as Micey Stiver, 23. He’s described as a white male, 5′8″, 170 pounds and has black hair and blue eyes. Stiver is also Kozelka’s stepbrother, according to a release.

They are believed to be traveling in a gray 2012 Ford Focus with Ohio plate number N697141.
