SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — A lot of families take part in the ‘Elf On A Shelf’ tradition around the holidays, but a Springfield family may have the most mischievous bunch of elves after they wrapped every inch of the living room like presents.
News Center 7′s Jenna Lawson said the prank was shared on Facebook and now people have seen it as far away as Australia.
The Cooper boys, Paiden and Linkin, have their own Elf on a Shelf named Christopher, DJ Jingle, Mistopher and Sistopher.
Over the years, the elves have done some pretty crazy stuff ahead of Christmas.
The Coopers said they put toilet paper around the tree once and one time they wrapped the other one in a box and we had to find them.
However, the last antic was on another level. The Elves wrapped nearly every surface of the Cooper’s living room like Christmas presents. The couch, the couch cushions, the pillows, the fireplace, the picture frames and even the Christmas tree.
All wrapped to perfection. Three rolls of paper and four hours of wrapping. An Elf on Shelf prank like the boys have never seen.
Every day, the boys, mother, Beth, posts about what the elves got into on her Facebook page, but the wrapping paper post took off like she didn’t expect.
“It’s been really cool, and I think the kids really, really enjoy it,” Beth said.
At last check, the post had over 14,000 shares on Facebook. People have seen it around the United State and even in Australia and other countries. The elves have set the bar pretty high.
Beth said, “Just spreading Christmas magic. You know, making it magical for all of the kids.”
These have to be the most unpredictable and creative elves I’ve ever seen. They even welcomed me with a banner to their house.
The Cooper boys told News Cente r7 that their Christmas list is full of art stuff, toys and video games. But their Elves on a Shelf going viral may be the coolest gift of them all.
