Sinclair College and Miami Valley Tech Prep Consortium will host a career technical education event — the Tech Prep Showcase — at 9 a.m. today in the Ponitz Conference Center at Sinclair Community College.
A total of 239 teams comprised of more than 700 career technical high school students from 26 area schools will display their innovative talent at the showcase.
Project categories include: Agriculture and Environmental Science; Automotive and Aviation; Biotechnology; Business and Marketing; Construction; Culinary Arts; Engineering; Education; Exercise Science; Graphic Arts; Information Technology; Health Sciences; Manufacturing; Media Arts; Public Safety; and Theatre.
More than 100 professional men and women from higher education and local area businesses will evaluate each team, and speak with participating students about the planning and execution of their capstone projects.
The awards ceremony will be at 1 p.m. today.
