Semitrailer on its side on Ohio 72, Cedarville

An investigation continues into why a semitrailer drifted off the road and lost its gravel load.

The driver was taken to Miami Valley Hospital Jamestown Emergency Center. The road remains shut down.

Ohio 72 going north into Cedarville is blocked to traffic after a semitrailer hauling gravel overturned near Turnbull Road.

We’re on scene of a semitrailer that has overturned on Ohio 72 near Turnbull Road on the south edge of Cedarville.

The crash was reported around 11 a.m.

Early reports indicated the driver was temporarily trapped in the cab of the truck. It’s unclear whether he suffered any injuries.

Traffic is restricted in the area as crews work to upright the rig and clear the scene.
