Reynolds and Reynolds associates build, donate bicycles for children

For 15 years, Reynolds and Reynolds associates have built and donated more than 3,500 bicycles to families in need through the annual Bike Build event at three of their company offices, according to the spokesperson with Reynolds and Reynolds.

“Every child deserves to experience the joy and excitement of receiving what could be their first bicycle for whatever holiday they celebrate, regardless of the economic situation their family finds itself in,” Event Coordinator in College Station, William Wright, said.

Many times the families these bikes are donated to include parents that protect our communities by serving in the military, the spokesperson said in a media release shared with News Center 7.

This year, 280 bikes will be donated this holiday season, the spokesperson said. The Dayton office will be donating 80 bikes to members of 10 units of the Ohio National Guard from all over the state of Ohio.

In their 12th year participating in this event, the Houston office is set to donate 100 bikes to members of the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston, the spokesperson said. College Station also built 100 bikes to be donated to the local Salvation Army Tree Angel Program.

“It is important to Reynolds associates to give back to the communities they reside and work in,” the spokesperson said in the media release. “Those in need this holiday season are neighbors, friends, and sometimes family.”
