Facebook changed its News Feed: 3 things you need to know now

NOW PLAYING ABOVE

Facebook is evolving yet again, but this time they’re giving you more control of your News Feed. Now you can customize your feed to see more of the posts you care about most.

From cute puppies to your favorite news content, they're putting more power in your hands. Here are the three things you should know about the changes. And, watch the video above to learn how to make WHIO TV a favorite so you'll never miss a post from us.

1. You can prioritize your Pages and Friends so their stories are at the top of your Needs Feed

To help prioritize these stories from your favorite Friends and Pages (like https://www.facebook.com/whionews), you can now select which friends and Pages you want to see at the top of your news feed. Scroll down to settings (in mobile, click "More" to get there) and choose "News Feed Preferences," then click on "prioritize who to see first" followed by WHIO TV and your other favorite Pages and Friends.

2. You can more easily find new pages to connect with

Find new pages to follow under “News Feed Preferences,” and select the ones you prefer. You’ll see options there based on the types of Pages you’ve liked in the past.

3. You can more easily select which friends and pages to follow or unfollow

Again, under “News Feed Preferences,” you can now see a list of the top people, pages and groups that you’ve seen in your news feed over the past week. You can then choose to unfollow any friend, page or group if you don’t want to see their updates. You can also see who you’ve unfollowed in the past and choose to re-follow them at any time.
