Scattered showers, patchy fog possible

Patchy fog and scattered showers will be possible overnight.

The scattered showers are even possible north of Interstate 70, where it was dry this evening, StormCenter 7 Meteorologist Rich Wirdzek said.

“Most of these will taper down … and we’ll be dry by sunrise,” Wirdzek said.

Overnight temperatures will fall into the low to middle 50s.

“Clouds may linger after sunrise, but eventually give way to sun through the morning.”

The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement, indicating areas of dense fog was possible through 8 a.m. Friday in Randolph County, Indiana.

Friday: High pressure will build in from the west. Lingering clouds in the morning will move east, allowing for an eventual mostly sunny sky. The afternoon will be very nice with highs in the low 70s.

Saturday: Mostly sunny skies will persist through the day. It will be nice and warm with highs in the mid-70s.

Sunday: Moisture will return to the area and scattered showers will develop as a result. A few thunderstorms also will be possible. Highs will be in the mid-60s.

Monday: Scattered showers and a few more thunderstorms will be possible. A cold front will sweep through the area late in the day or at night. Highs will be in the mid-60s.

Tuesday: High pressure builds in as cooler air returns with highs in the upper 50s.
