An unwanted apartment guest fired his gun into an apartment early this morning after he was ordered to leave.
Police were called just after 5 a.m. to the 1400 block of Bancroft Street after woman said a man fired two bullets into her apartment window as she walked by inside, narrowly missing her, according to a Dayton police report.
The woman said she had been with friends and family when the suspect, a man whose name she did not know, arrived around 5 a.m. She said the suspect was extremely intoxicated and belligerent and was refusing to leave. Two men escorted the suspect outside. They were arguing with the suspect when he pulled out a small black semi-automatic handgun. She said as she walked by her front window, he fired two rounds through it, narrowly missing her, the report stated.
The suspect fled on foot after the shooting. No one at the apartment knew the suspect’s name but said they thought he lived nearby in the Steiner Avenue area, according to the report.
