Police respond to ‘officer down’ call

Police from Dayton, Trotwood and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to an “officer down” call from detectives trying to take a man into custody, according to a police report.

They said the man, later identified as Michael Wolf, appeared as if he was going to run and then struggled when they tried to take him into custody at the Summit Square Apartments on Monday, the report states.

Wolf reportedly told them later that he did not know they were officers and was at the apartments with a woman to buy drugs.

They got permission from the woman, identified as Rachel Brazie, to search her vehicle. The report states they found a capsule containing heroin in her purse and other drug paraphernalia in the car.

Brazie told them she did not know how the capsule got into her purse, according to the report.

Brazie was charged with felony possession of drugs, as well as a misdemeanor for drug abuse instruments.

Wolf was charged with misdemeanors for loitering and disorderly conduct.

They both remain in Montgomery County Jail today.
