Man uses hammer to break into Troy Dairy Foods

A masked man used a hammer to break into the Troy Dairy Foods at 1006 Troy St. Sunday morning.

After an alarm notified police about 2:30 a.m., they found the front window broken.

The manager of the store provided surveillance video to police, which showed the man had a pillow case. He used it to steal about 150 packs of cigarettes and cash from the register.

According to the police report, the man seen on the video is a white male, wearing a black mask, dark blue t-shirt with long sleeve plaid shirt under, dark blue work pants, a grey beanie, white tennis shoes and black gloves. He was about 6’ tall and a medium build, about 180 lbs. He left in a newer red vehicle.

No arrests have been made.
