UPDATE @ 10:39 a.m.
One of the men arrested at the scene, 52-year-old Ronald Grimes, is being held in the Montgomery County Jail on a charge of receiving stolen property.
FIRST REPORT
The driver of a car reported stolen in Dayton simply pulled over when he saw police from two area departments drive onto U.S. 35 East the same time he did.
His decision led his arrest and the arrest of his passenger near the exit to Fairfield Road just before 8 p.m., a Riverside police sergeant said.
The sergeant said both males would be taken to the Montgomery County Jail, where one will be detained pending a charge of grand theft auto and the other on an outstanding warrant.
Police from Riverside and Beavercreek heard a police dispatch broadcast about a Chevy Prism that had been stolen in Dayton.
The Riverside sergeant said officers from his department and from Beavercreek spotted the car and drove onto the highway. The driver stopped right away, pulling off onto the right berm, and police took both men into custody.
