New York pizza shop puts pictures of shelter dogs on pizza boxes to get them adopted

AMHERST, N.Y. — A New York pizza shop is posting pictures of shelter dogs on its pizza boxes to help get them adopted this weekend.

Just Pizza and Wing Company is working with the Niagara Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to get its dogs placed in forever homes, WSET reported.

"We are always looking for ways that our business can give back, so when Niagara SPCA approached us about advertising their shelter dogs on our pizza boxes, it was a no-brainer," Mary Alloy, pizza shop owner, told WKBW. "We hope our customers enjoy seeing the dogs' adorable faces as much as we do and that it helps these beautiful animals find the loving homes they deserve."

The pizza shop is also offering a $50 gift certificate to customers who adopt a dog from a pizza box.
