Miami Twp. woman convicted of cruelty after 20 cats removed from home

MIAMI TWP. — After over 20 cats were removed from a Miami Twp. home last summer, a Miami Twp. woman has been convicted of animal cruelty and neglect.

Authorities removed more than 20 cats from the home of Jean Diamond in June 2017 on Washington Park Drive.

The judge convicted Diamond of four counts and sentenced her to 90 days in jail for each count. Her jail time was suspended however and Diamond was placed on probation.

As part of her terms, Diamond cannot  care for any cats and will be monitored, reports News Center 7’s Mike Campbell.

If cats are found on her property at any home visit, the judge could send her to jail.
