UPDATE: Shooting death of 22-year-old Dayton man ruled a homicide

DAYTON — The death of a Dayton man, 22, shot in the 600 block of Summit Square around 10:30 p.m. on May 23, has been ruled a homicide.

The victim at the scene, Shareef Tillman, was taken to Miami Valley Hospital where he later died from a gunshot wound to the torso, according to Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent E. Harshbarger,

Police initially put out a signal 99, requesting all available units to come to the scene, which was later called off.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Dayton Police Department.
