YELLOW SPRINGS — The village manager in Yellow Springs has resigned.

The Yellow Springs Village Council held a special council meeting on Friday. According to its agenda, they were set to discuss Village Manager Johnnie Burns’s contract.

The council went into executive session after the meeting began at 9 a.m.
Executive session ended shortly before 11:30 a.m. Following that, Burns came in and resigned from his position.
Burns started working with the village as Elextric/Water Superintendent in 2014.
He was appointed interim village manager in August 2023 before being named village manager the following February.
