Woman raped during violent Dayton burglary; Michigan man indicted

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 3:15 p.m.:

A Michigan man accused of rape, kidnapping and aggravated burglary after he was accused of kicking down a woman’s door before attacking her has been indicted.

Jamare Kinnard, 29, of Warren, Michigan, was indicted on the charges by a Montgomery County Grand Jury Friday, records show.

He’s due back in court for his next appearance on July 19.

A Michigan man is facing charges of rape, kidnapping and aggravated burglary after he was accused of kicking down a woman’s door before attacking her, according to court records.

Jamare Kinnard, 29, of Warren, Michigan, was arrested Wednesday on Prescott Avenue in Dayton.

According to court documents, Kinnard kicked down the woman’s door, slammed her head on the floor multiple times and dragged her around the house before raping her.

Kinnard also was accused of threatening the victim with a knife, records show.

The incident was said to have started around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and the victim was unable to escape the residence until around 3 a.m. the next day, a court document showed.

Kinnard appeared Friday in Dayton Municipal Court, where his bond was set at $500,000 and he was appointed an attorney to represent him.

He remains in the Montgomery County Jail.
