Woman, dog rescued from Dayton apartment after vehicle hits it

DAYTON — A woman and her dog had to be rescued from the second floor of a Dayton apartment complex after a car reportedly hit it Monday morning.

Fire and rescue crews were called out to the 500 block of Pritz Avenue around 10:40 a.m.

Initial reports indicated a vehicle hit the pillar of the apartment building on Pritz Avenue. The vehicle drove off from the scene, according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch records.

Our crew on scene was there when crews rescued a woman and a dog from the second floor of the building.

Dispatch records showed the Red Cross was called to assist the occupants of the apartment.
