Woman dies after tree falls on car in Huber Heights

HUBER HEIGHTS — A woman who had a tree fall onto her car on Brandt Pike Sunday afternoon has died.

“A tree just fell across on top of two cars,” a 911 caller said.  “It just fell probably 10 seconds ago.”

Gay Jordan, 71, died at Miami Valley Hospital shortly after the accident was reported, according to Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger.

Officers responded to the scene around 1:05 p.m. Sunday and found two vehicles had been damaged by the tree, according to dispatch records.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday afternoon.

The accident was reported while a wind advisory was in effect for the Miami Valley.
