West Milton to vote on medical marijuana ban

WEST MILTON — The city council is looking to follow suit with the neighboring communities when it comes to medical marijuana.

The legalization of medical marijuana in Ohio goes into effect on Sept. 1, so the city has called a special meeting to vote on proposed restrictions for the issue. The meeting will be held at 701 S. Main St. The public is encouraged to attend.

West Milton will vote on Tuesday. If the legislation is passed, it would impose a 180-day ban on the granting of any permit allowing retail dispensaries, cultivators or processors of medical marijuana within the city limits.
