West Carrollton police look for 3 in armed robbery of Ameristop store

Police looking for three men following an armed robbery late Monday at AmeriStop Food Mart.

The robbery was dispatched just after 11:30 p.m. at the store, which also sells Sunoco gas, in the 1900 block of South Alex Road.

Authorities say the alleged robbers, all men, entered the business, robbed it, and took off in a vehicle in an unknown direction.

Two of the men displayed handguns, and the other had a long gun, police said.

They’re all described as being in their late teens or early 20s wearing varying degrees of dark clothing, including sweatpants and hoodies.

It’s unknown at this time what the men made away with.

Police reportedly asked for a K-9 unit to search the area surrounding the business.

There are no reports of injury or shots having been fired.
